“交叉学科”专刊征稿启事
背景:学科交叉融合是未来科学发展的必然趋势,是加速科技创新的重要驱动力。自然科学基金委基于知识生产的需要和人才培养的需要,于2020年8月成立了交叉科学部,是推动交叉科学繁荣发展的一个重要创新举措。如何促进学科交叉融合研究,一直以来都是世界各国科学界面临的一个共同难题和挑战。对于中国这样的科学后发国家,交叉研究则更加困难。但强化学科交叉和寻求新的科研范式是未来科技快速发展的必由之路,也是中国实现科技自立自强的重要途径。
《中南大学学报(英文版)》(JCSU)作为教育部主管、中南大学主办的综合性大学学报(英文版),其理念是“服务学科建设、学者科研创新、行业科技发展,助力成果转化,服务国家“,宗旨是”发表科技成果、传播科学知识、引领学术研究“,任务是”搭建学术交流平台,培养科研创新人才”,服务“交叉学科“的发展是《中南大学学报(英文版)》应该担当的责任。
Call for papers: Interdisciplines
Journal of Central South University (SCI IF1.249, JCR Q3) will publish a Special Issue with the name of “Interdisciplines”. We cordially invite investigators to recommend and/or submit high quality papers focusing on recent advances in interdisciplinary science.
Interdisciplinary researches are an inevitable trend in scientific development and an important driving force to accelerate scientific and technological innovations. How to promote interdisciplinary research has always been a common question and a challenge faced by science research funding agencies all over the world. The interdisciplinary research would strengthen the coordination and integration of engineering strategic needs and emerging frontiers of science. Interdisciplines Special Issue will respect the characteristics of different disciplines, encourage individual development, break shackles of traditional concepts, promote in-depth cross-integration, strive to form new growth points of disciplines, and train innovative interdisciplinary talents. The recent rapid development in the area of interdisciplinary research for materials science, artificial intelligence, health medicine, genetic engineering, biophysics, quantum computing, etc., has inspired this Special Issue.
The Special Issue focuses on the advances in developing new materials science and artificial intelligence in the field of interdisciplinary research. This Special Issue will publish original research and review articles including emerging interdisciplines-related researches but not limited to the following topics:

reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited.
Journal of Central South University is indexed by SCI, Scopus, Google Scholar, EI, CNKI and its SCI impact factor is 1.249 in 2019. It also has been selected in “the Excellence Action Plan of China’s Scientific Journals”. The Journal mainly publishes original academic papers which represent the latest research achievements in such fields as materials science and engineering, metallurgical science and engineering, mineral processing, geology and mining, chemical engineering, and mechanical, electronic and information engineering.
